Job summary

McLaren in Sheffield is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Composites Technology Centre on a permanent basis. This role involves delivering efficient maintenance across various systems while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a robust engineering background, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with maintenance management systems. A generous benefits package including 25 days of holiday and private medical insurance is offered.

Qualifications

• Served a full Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in robotic fault finding and maintenance.
• Robust experience in Engineering and Maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• React promptly to equipment breakdowns and fault find effectively.
• Manage supervision of contractors and issue permits to work.

Skills

Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines

Experience working with hydraulic systems

Ability to interpret and fault find using schematic drawings

Effective communication skills

Education

NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Engineering

HNC, HND in relevant Engineering discipline

Tools

Computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Siemens TIA portal
