Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer in Berwickshire to maintain and improve machinery for continuous production in an industrial setting. The role is hands-on, solving mechanical and electrical faults and ensuring the plant operates efficiently.

You will work with production teams, uphold health and safety standards, and keep detailed maintenance records while contributing to improvements and installations of new equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Solid problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and prioritise tasks effectively.
