Job summary

Deeside Cereals, part of the Weetabix Food Company, is looking for a Multiskilled Engineer to perform planned predictive and reactive maintenance of process, packaging and plant equipment at our manufacturing site.

You will train others, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, support line changes and drive safety improvements in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, teamwork across engineering contractors, and commitment to food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in planned predictive and reactive maintenance in an FMCG environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
• Willingness to train others and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned predictive and reactive maintenance of process, packaging and auxiliary equipment
• Carry out workshop duties such as machine repairs and component manufacture
• Train others in new methodologies, technology and engineering techniques as the business needs arise
• Train plant staff on engineering practices and equipment
• Respond to machine and auxiliary failures
• Troubleshoot and faultfind electrical and mechanical plant equipment
• Install, commission and repair plant and facilities
• Assist Manufacturing Department with line adjustments and changes
• Drive improvements to reduce downtime and increase efficiency
• Support Health and Safety requirements on site
• Work unsupervised when required and coordinate others
• Collaborate with engineering contractors on site
• Produce and maintain documentation for engineering tasks
• All tasks as directed by line manager
• Maintain Food Safety, Quality and Legality
