Job summary

GE Aerospace Wales is seeking an operation support professional to perform upkeep, repair, and improvement tasks across the facility and grounds. The role requires hands-on experience with diverse building maintenance and repair work.

The successful candidate will carry out planned/reactive maintenance, support furniture movements, and assist with site clearance, while maintaining safety and cleanliness of maintenance areas. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Carpentry skills required.
• Plastering experience required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various environments.
• Proven experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Effective communication skills.
• Good team player with flexible approach and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible/self-motivated with decision-making ability.
• Computer literacy with experience of Windows-based packages.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive building maintenance tasks (general building, joinery, painting, plastering, paving, external work).
• Undertake general facilities tasks including furniture building/removals and site clearance; keep areas clean and tidy.
• Respond promptly to maintenance upkeep/improvement requests.
• Assist with installation and relocation of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas and mechanical rooms.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with safety regulations and procedures.
• Assist with landscaping and grounds keeping as required.
