Job summary

GE Aerospace Wales is seeking an operation support role to perform a variety of tasks related to the upkeep, repair and improvement of the facility and grounds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with building maintenance and repair work.

The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, furniture moves, groundskeeping, safety adherence, and collaboration with internal departments to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Carpentry and plastering skills required.
• Proven experience in general maintenance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Computer literacy with Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive building maintenance tasks, which may include general building, joinery, painting, plastering, paving and external work.
• Undertake general facilities support tasks, including furniture building and removals, grounds and site clearance, and keeping areas clean and tidy.
• Respond promptly to maintenance upkeep requests.
• Assist with installation and relocation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas and mechanical rooms.
• Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Assist with landscaping and grounds keeping as required.
