Job summary

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking an Estates Maintenance Operative to join the Estates team at Slough & Langley College on a full-time basis, with travel to Windsor and Strode's campuses as required.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across buildings, grounds, equipment and learning environments, including carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general building works.

A full UK driving licence is essential, and a trade qualification or apprenticeship is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building maintenance and repairs.
• Able to perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Safe working practices and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality maintenance across buildings, grounds and learning environments.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs (carpentry, plumbing, decorating, flooring).
• Support refurbishment and improvement projects and assist with contractors on site.
• Inspect sites, manage requests and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students and visitors; organise workload.
