TipTopJob in South Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Engineer for site-wide repair, maintenance and reliability work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Location is Coulman Road, Thorne, Doncaster, South Yorkshire with rotating shifts starting early. Up to 22.00 GBP per hour. Roles involve safety compliance, stock control and effective communication across teams.

Qualificações

• Completion of a 4-year approved technical training programme.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical repair and maintenance.
• A suitable combination of apprenticeship/education and experience that provides equivalent skills and knowledge.
• At least 5 years experience in a similar engineering role.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Food manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out engineering repairs, corrective maintenance, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site.
• Complete tasks generated from audits, work requests, and PPM follow-ups.
• Ensure machinery and equipment meet site standards and escalate issues where necessary.
• Manage personal workload and complete scheduled tasks to required standards.
• Maintain effective handover of outstanding work between shifts and keep areas clean and safe.
• Apply Health and Safety and Food Safety standards to all work undertaken.
• Support environmental compliance requirements.
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments regarding breakdowns and engineering activities.
• Control and manage spare parts ordering to ensure effective stock levels.
