Job summary

Impact Recruitment Services are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer for a well-established food manufacturing business in Wellingborough. The role is hands-on, covering planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production machinery.

The ideal candidate will have apprentice training with NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / BTEC, plus an 18th Edition qualification. Salary ranges £42,000–£47,000, permanent contract, on-site work.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained with an engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / BTEC).
• Current 18th Edition qualification.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance across production machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work across mills, bailers, mixers, hoppers and robots.
• Carry out root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement and machinery reliability improvements.
• Use workshop equipment like drills, grinders and welding gear.
• Assist installation and commissioning of new equipment.
