Job summary

Tech-People seeks a Multi-Skilled Electrical-Biased Building Services Engineer for a static site in Hull. The role starts 01/09/2026 and runs at least until 02/10/2026, with a 37.5-hour week from Monday to Friday.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, fault finding, emergency lighting checks, temperature checks, and building services maintenance. The candidate must have 17th Edition and be able to commute to Hull on a reliable basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 17th Edition electrical qualification is essential.
• Experience as a multi-skilled or electrical-biased building services engineer is required.
• Strong experience with PPM and reactive maintenance is needed.
• Electrical maintenance experience is essential; some mechanical/building services knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Electrical fault finding, repairs and general electrical maintenance.
• Emergency lighting checks and testing.
• Temperature checks and lamping.
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance to electrical systems and installations.
• Basic mechanical/building services maintenance where required.
• PPMs on AHUs, FCUs and other building services equipment.
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests and resolving issues promptly.

We are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Electrical-Biased Building Services Engineer for a static site in Hull.

Job Details

Start: 01/09/2026

Duration: Until 02/10/2026 minimum, ongoing for the right candidate

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Days: Monday to Friday

Location: Hull

Pay: £26.91 per hour Umbrella PAYE / £20.67 per hour PAYE

Duties

• Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Electrical fault finding, repairs and general electrical maintenance.
• Emergency lighting checks and testing.
• Temperature checks and lamping.
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance to electrical systems and installations.
• Basic mechanical/building services maintenance where required.
• PPMs on AHUs, FCUs and other building services equipment.
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests and ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
• Working safely and in accordance with site procedures and relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 17th Edition electrical qualification - essential.
• Previous experience working as a multi-skilled or electrical-biased building services engineer.
• Good experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Electrical maintenance experience is essential, with some mechanical/building services knowledge.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently on a static site.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Hull.
