Job summary

Pilgrims Europe Ashbourne Feed Mill is seeking a proactive Multiskilled Engineer to join our busy site. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance, support a breakdown call-out system, and monitor maintenance KPIs to improve plant reliability.

The role requires electrical and mechanical qualifications, strong organisation, and the ability to work well in a team with safety and cost controls in mind. On-site duties include maintaining pressure systems and aiding in maintenance purchasing.

Qualifications

• Desirable: IOSH qualification and budget/maintenance cost awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across the feed mill.
• Maintain and support a robust breakdown call-out system to minimise downtime.
• Monitor and report on maintenance performance and KPIs.
• Ensure all pressure systems comply with legal and insurance requirements.
• Support maintenance purchasing and spare parts stock control within budget.
• Manage and maintain the site Permit to Work system.
• Assist in coaching and mentoring colleagues where required.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company standards.
• Provide out-of-hours support for breakdowns when required.

Are you an experienced Multiskilled Engineer looking for a varied role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're seeking a proactive and hands-on engineer to join our team at Ashbourne Feed Mill, playing a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

What You'll Be Doing

Essential

Desirable

• Experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working with boilers and pressure systems.
• IOSH qualification.
• Understanding of budget control and maintenance cost management.
