Job summary

Employment Solutions Ltd is assisting a Blackburn-based manufacturing client in recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. The role is hands-on, focusing on maintaining plant and equipment to high operational and safety standards, reporting to the Factory Director.

You will work with maintenance, process engineering and production teams to optimise reliability, manage contractors, and keep preventative maintenance schedules up to date.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance engineer with strong mechanical knowledge
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, motors and related systems

Responsibilities

• Liaise with senior managers on new plant requirements
• Maintain and improve plant and equipment
• Ensure maintenance schedules and servicing are up to date
• Manage contractors safely and ensure safe systems of work
• Coordinate with other engineering teams on customer requirements
• Maintain records of repairs, servicing and purchases
