Job summary

Oaktree Education Services is seeking a proactive Facilities & Maintenance Lead to oversee day-to-day maintenance across multiple sites in Southampton and surrounding areas. The role involves hands-on repairs, decorating, basic plumbing and coordinating external contractors while ensuring safety and compliance.

The successful candidate will support health and safety arrangements, perform routine checks, manage budgets and help plan preventative maintenance to minimise disruption and costs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities or building maintenance.
• Strong DIY and practical maintenance skills.
• Experience coordinating external contractors and service providers.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety and ability to identify hazards.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day maintenance across multiple sites.
• Carry out painting, decorating, minor repairs and basic plumbing.
• Coordinate external contractors and ensure safe, compliant works.
• Maintain records of maintenance and safety inspections.
• Support health and safety arrangements and liaise with external consultants.
