ITV plc’s ITV News Central in Birmingham is seeking two experienced Production Journalists to join our permanent staff. You will produce daily TV and digital content, curate our website and ITVX, and drive our online presence while keeping editorial excellence at the forefront.

Based in the Birmingham newsroom, you will work unsocial hours, craft late and weekend bulletins, and contribute to growing our digital audience across app and social platforms.

Qualifikationen

• Fully qualified NCTJ, BJTC or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of Ofcom code, media law and compliance
• A track record of generating, researching and developing original ideas for on-air and online
• Knowledge of digital platforms and how to reach new audiences online
• Excellent organisational skills, ability to plan multiple stories and prioritise tasks
• Strong writing skills for TV and digital, with accurate spelling and grammar
• Excellent news judgement
• Strong knowledge of the Midlands and its audiences

• Produce our dynamic daily output in the Birmingham newsroom
• Update our app and social channels as the day begins across the Midlands
• Curate the website and publish content to ITVX
• Develop original story ideas and get them to air and online
• Work as a true team player in a fast-paced, ever-changing workload
• Meet tight daily deadlines with a calm, collaborative approach
