Job summary

ITV Channel Television is seeking an experienced Production Journalist for our Jersey newsroom. You will produce high-quality bulletins for TV and digital, plan stories, and craft online content that strengthens our audience engagement.

The role requires strong editorial judgement, media-law knowledge, and a proven ability to develop original ideas under tight deadlines. It’s a full-time, office-based position with weekend commitments and fast-paced collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

Fully qualified NCTJ, BJTC or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Ofcom code, media law and compliance.
Proven ability to research and develop original ideas.
Creative storytelling for on-air and online.
Digital platforms experience and growing online audiences.

Responsibilities

Produce high-quality bulletins across all outputs, in a live gallery and under tight deadlines.
Write accurate, engaging stories and scripts.
Edit pictures using provided editing software.
Create graphics for bulletins and packages using the system.
Curate ITV's Digital content on website/ITVX as required.
Assist news desk with research, planning and newsgathering.
Generate original ideas and contribute to daily news agenda.
Meet online and on-air deadlines and coordinate with the news desk.
