Job summary

Calex UK in Daventry, UK, is seeking a Junior Video Editor to join our Content Production House. You will handle localisation content integration, post-production support, and multi-language asset management across 23 European markets.

You’ll work with translations, subtitles, audio syncing, and exports using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder, while adhering to brand guidelines and strict file naming conventions.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in video editing, post-production, or localisation (internships and strong portfolio/showreel work will be highly valued).
• Software Proficiency: High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential. Familiarity with Adobe After Effects (for basic motion graphics templates and text edits) and Adobe Media Encoder.
• Localisation Workflow: A basic understanding of subtitle formats (e.g., .srt, .vtt, open/closed captions) and localisation best practices.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of video codecs, resolutions, frame rates, and social media export requirements.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate Translations: Integrate translated, QA-approved text (received from the Translation Coordinator, translation agencies, or automated software tools) into master video files, including subtitles, overlays and lower thirds.
• Text Adaptation & Formatting: Adjust text layouts, font sizes, and timings for multiple languages while preserving brand guidelines.
• Audio & Voiceover Syncing: Import, clean, and sync localised voiceover (VO) tracks and audio elements for regional outputs.
• Technical Quality Control (QC): Review localised videos to ensure text matches translation sheets and audio/video sync is flawless.
