Job summary

IMO is establishing a roster of temporary Editorial Assistants to provide full-time linguistic and editorial support across its six language units (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian). Successful candidates will be assigned based on demonstrated mother-tongue–level proficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to proofread text to editorial standards.
• Experience coordinating with translators/editors to resolve discrepancies.
• Strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
• Willingness to work night shifts/overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Proofread texts for accuracy and consistency.
• Edit and format documents, including complex tables and layouts, using CAT tools like eLUNa.
• Verify grammar, punctuation and references against source text.
• Coordinate with editors, translators and revisers to resolve discrepancies.
