Job summary

Manpower UK Limited in Widnes is seeking full-time Class 1 Drivers to join our client’s transport and logistics operation. Roles are temp to perm with a mix of start times, typically 10–12 hour shifts, delivering fresh produce to client sites across the Northwest up to Cumbria.

Applicants must have an HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, CPC, and a strong knowledge of the UK road network. A driving assessment is required before starting.

Qualifications

• Must have a multidrop experience.
• HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver CPC required.
• No more than six penalty points on licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.

Responsibilities

• On a typical shift you will carry out 1-6 drops.
• Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
• Will be delivering fresh produce to client sites across the Northwest and up as far as Cumbria.
• Trailers will be loaded by the client but will need to be unloaded at each drop, where roll cages will need to be pulled into designated areas at each depot.
• Ensure paperwork is all completed and signed off before leaving each site.
• Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, ensure the load is secured correctly and compliance with VOSA.
