Job summary

Holdsworth Foods is seeking a Class 2 Driver to operate from our Bedford Depot. The role offers a four-day week (9.5 hours per day) with starts around 5:30am, including Saturdays. You will deliver a wide range of products to customers, maintaining food hygiene standards and representing the company in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver orders accurately and respectfully to customers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety and maintenance checks, including temperature checks.
• Adhere to driver legislation and route delivery instructions.
• Deliver products on designated route to customers.
• Pick orders from invoices and product stock.
• Unload goods carefully and place at customer site.
• Check goods with customer for correct products and quantities.
• Ensure vehicle is left safe and secure after deliveries.
• Be responsible for vehicle and goods from start to end of shift.

We are looking for a Class 2 Driver to work from our Bedford Depot, with the opportunity to earn over £37,000 per annum. This role will ensure that you deliver our fantastic range of products to our customers at the right time, while maintaining food hygiene standards. The successful applicant will pride themselves on being a representative of the company and ensure that customer satisfaction is at the forefront. The role is based on 4 days a week (9.5 hours a day/38 hours a week), generally starting work around 5.30am which will include a Saturday.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out relevant safety and maintenance checks, including temperature checks;
• Adherence to all relevant driver legislations;
• Deliver products inline with the designated route;
• Pick the order on the invoice and from the products loaded on the lorry.
• Unload the goods, taking care not to damage any products and place where possible in the customers designated place;
• Check the goods with the customer for the correct products and quantities;
• Make sure vehicle is left safe and secure while making delivery;
• You are responsible for the vehicle and the goods carried from the start to the end of your working day.
