Job summary

PA Consulting Group in Melbourn, UK, is seeking an Accounting Assistant for a 9-12 month FTC. You will work with the Accounting Manager across UK, Ireland & Australia.

Responsibilities include month-end close, fixed asset register, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT review for Ireland, statutory accounts prep, and intercompany processes. Candidates should have at least 2 years accounting experience, strong Excel and multi-currency experience; studying or planning accounting qualifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Excellent Excel skills including XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and PivotTables.
• Experience in a multi-currency environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities and journal postings for fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and intercompany processes.
• Maintain fixed asset registers with additions/disposals, depreciation, and reconciling to the GL.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review Ireland VAT returns.
• Assist Accounting Manager with statutory accounts and SOX-related schedules.
• Support internal controls and intercompany recharge processes.
