Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Multi Trader to service Rugby Borough Council's housing stock, focusing on domestic plumbing repairs with occasional carpentry tasks in occupied properties. The role aims for first-visit resolutions wherever possible.

You will work 37 hours weekly, 08:00–16:00, on-site in Rugby, under a Local Authority Umbrella. An on-call standby payment of £200 per week applies when required.

Qualifications

• Strong domestic plumbing experience.
• Leak detection and repairs capability.
• Sanitaryware replacement and repairs.
• General plumbing fault finding.
• Carpentry experience as a secondary trade.
• Experience working in social housing or property maintenance.
• Experience working in occupied residential properties.
• Ability to carry out multiple repairs without additional trades.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair leaks.
• Repair and replace taps, toilets, basins, baths, and sanitary ware.
• Complete kitchen and bathroom plumbing repairs.
• Undertake waste pipe and drainage repairs.
• Carry out fault-finding and remedial plumbing works.
• Deliver repairs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate job records using IT systems and handheld devices.
• Communicate effectively with tenants and residents.
• Ensure properties are left clean and safe following repairs.
• Work independently and manage workloads efficiently.
• Participate in the out-of-hours standby rota if required.
