Job summary

You’ll carry out routine repairs in social housing, including tasks like fixing taps, replacing baths, door hardware, and door hanging, plus tiling, UPVC installations, and plastering. A driving licence is essential, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical) as a minimum qualification.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead.
• This role requires driving on company business and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Attend occupied properties to carry out construction, fault-fixing and maintenance duties within Social Housing.
• Resolve problems or arrange means of resolution and keep customers informed.
• Maintain van stock level and restock as needed.
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress of works that is easily understood by the customer.
• Provide out-of-hours cover via a call-out rota.
