Job summary

Stonewater is seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join the Maintenance Services team at Mount Green, Leatherhead, Surrey. You will carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance in customers' homes, delivering a reliable, high-quality service.

This hands-on role offers variety and requires diagnosing faults, completing works on time, and striving for a first-time fix. You will manage materials, use PDAs, and maintain safety while supporting colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or a skilled trade.
• Relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of health and safety and safe working practices.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively.
• Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• A team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs, void works and property MOTs to a high standard.
• Diagnose faults and complete works efficiently within timescales.
• Aim for a first-time fix wherever possible.
• Manage materials, van stock and ordering supplies as needed.
• Use mobile systems (PDA) to update jobs in real time.
• Communicate clearly with customers about work and follow-up actions.
• Work safely at all times, carrying out risk assessments and procedures.
• Support apprentices or colleagues where needed.
