Job summary

Templer HomeBuild is seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative to perform plumbing, carpentry, plastering and tiling tasks in residential properties. You will handle reactive repairs, void refurbishments and routine maintenance in social housing settings, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Multi-trade experience in domestic repairs and refurbishment.
• Experience in social housing environments is desirable but not essential.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake multi-trade work including plumbing, carpentry, tiling and plastering repairs in domestic settings.
• Attend reactive, emergency and routine repairs, plus some planned refurbishment in void properties.
• Be part of a on-call rota for emergency repairs.
• Work with residents and team members to ensure high-quality workmanship.

You will specialise in carrying out residential repairs and refurbishment works to our customers properties.

The Multi Trade Operative Role

We’re committed to keeping you safe, happy and supported, therefore Health and Safety is paramount throughout the responsibilities of this role, for you, us, and the customer.

• Use your skills to undertake multi trade work, including jobs related to plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and carpentry repair. Working in a domestic setting, you have the opportunity to utilise your fault finding and problem-solving capabilities.


• Attending reactive, emergency, and routine repairs, and on occasions planned refurbishment jobs (within void/vacant properties)


• Typical repairs can include broken taps, leaking pipes, drainage unblocks, and general kitchen and bathroom repair work


• Working in a domestic environment, you enjoy working with people, whether as a team, or with the residents.


• Emergency call out will be expected, on a rota basis

What You Will Bring As a Multi Trade Operative

• You will be qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade, with experience in domestic (essential) and social housing environments, desirable, but not essential.


• With a genuine passion for improving people’s homes, you will bring strong customer service skills and enjoy working with others.


• A full UK driving licence is required.
