Job summary

18 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Floor Layer to support social housing repairs across Liverpool. You will install Polysafe safety flooring, cap and cove for wet rooms, and carry out various flooring types within occupied and void properties.

The role requires a keen eye for quality, strong communication with customers, and the ability to work independently within a responsive repairs team. Full UK driving licence and CSCS card are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Floor Layer within domestic, maintenance, or social housing environments.
• Strong experience installing Polysafe safety flooring and cap & cove systems.
• Additional skills in plumbing, carpentry, plastering, damp proofing, or general multi‑trade repairs.
• Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication and customer service when working in occupied homes.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS Card or equivalent is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install Polysafe safety flooring and cap and cove installations for wet rooms.
• Install, repair, and maintain a range of flooring types.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance within occupied and void social housing properties.
• Ensure high standards of finish, safety and customer satisfaction.
• Work independently and as part of a wider responsive repairs team.
• Undertake additional multi‑trade works including basic plumbing repairs.
• Carpentry repairs and installations.
• Patch plastering and making good.
• Damp-proofing works.
• General maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
