Job summary

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking a Multi-trade Carpenter to carry out day-to-day repairs across housing stock, focusing on carpentry such as doors, windows, locks and fittings. You’ll use a PDA to schedule and record work, delivering high-quality repairs in residents' homes.

You will hold a Level 3 Carpentry qualification and a secondary trade (plumbing/tiling/plastering) to enable first-time fixes. DBS check required; full-time, on-site in the borough.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Carpentry as your primary trade.
• Have a secondary trade such as plumbing, tiling or plastering to carry out a range of repairs.
• Demonstrate a strong focus on health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day repairs across housing stock, focusing on carpentry (doors, windows, locks, internal fittings).
• Use broader trade skills to achieve first-time fixes where possible.
• Manage schedules and record work using a PDA; ensure jobs are signed off accurately.
