Job summary

MMP Consultancy is recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Carpenter to join a Social Housing contractor on a temporary basis in Croydon (CR). The successful candidate will carry out repairs and maintenance across both occupied and void properties, delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

Role includes carpentry repairs and related multi-trade works, with 42.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm). Provided: company van, fuel card, PDA system.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing sector.
• Customer-focused approach with strong communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (maximum 6 points).
• Recognised carpentry qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Asbestos Awareness certification (can be completed before start date).
• Basic DBS Check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry repairs and maintenance within social housing properties.
• Complete associated multi-trade works as required.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a professional approach in residents' homes.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.
• Accurately update job information using the provided PDA system.
• Work effectively to meet tight deadlines and performance targets.

Pay Rate: £22 CIS

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (42.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute break)

Requirements

• Previous experience working within the social housing sector.
