Job summary

CRA Legal in Leeds is seeking an experienced Multi Track Fee Earner to join the personal injury team. The role involves progressing a caseload of complex claims from instruction through to settlement or litigation.

You will manage liability, causation and quantum, draft pleadings and witness statements, and coordinate with insurers, medical experts and counsel to ensure timely progression and high-quality client service.

Role: Multi Track Fee Earner

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

We are currently working with a highly regarded legal services organisation in Leeds who are looking to appoint an experienced Multi Track Fee Earner to join their established personal injury team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident personal injury professional to handle a varied caseload of complex and higher-value claims within a well-structured and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Multi Track Fee Earner, you will have responsibility for progressing a caseload of complex personal injury claims from initial instruction through to settlement or litigation.

You will deal with a range of challenging matters, requiring a strong understanding of liability, causation and quantum, alongside the ability to provide clear and effective advice to clients throughout the claims process.

The role will involve working closely with clients, insurers, medical experts, counsel and other professional stakeholders to ensure claims are progressed efficiently and to a high standard.

• Managing a caseload of Multi Track personal injury claims from inception through to conclusion.
• Assessing liability, causation and quantum and identifying key issues at an early stage.
• Reviewing medical evidence and instructing appropriate experts where required.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, schedules of loss and other legal documentation.
• Progressing claims in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant deadlines.
• Preparing matters for litigation, conferences, hearings and settlement meetings.
• Conducting negotiations with insurers and other parties to achieve appropriate settlements.
• Maintaining regular contact with clients and providing clear, practical advice throughout their claim.
• Liaising with counsel, experts and other professional stakeholders.
• Managing interim payments, rehabilitation and other aspects of complex claims where appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring case management systems are kept fully up to date.
• Managing your workload effectively while meeting quality, financial and performance expectations.

About You

We are looking for an experienced personal injury professional with a proven background in Multi Track claims.

You will be confident managing your own caseload and have the technical knowledge and commercial awareness required to progress complex claims effectively.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience handling Multi Track personal injury claims.
• A strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation process.
• Experience dealing with complex liability, causation and quantum issues.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and client management abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively to deadlines.
• A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of your work.
• A genuine commitment to delivering excellent client service and high-quality legal work.
