Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is seeking a Multi Skilled Technician - Joiner to join our Cornwall team. This permanent role is 40 hours per week, 8am–7pm Mon–Fri with Saturday mornings on a rota, plus an out-of-hours callout rota with additional pay.

The successful candidate should live within Truro or nearby and hold a full UK driving licence. A basic DBS check is required and paid for by Guinness.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a track record of delivering high quality service.
• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow procedures and accurately record information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, per Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate safely, considering environmental circumstances and risks.

About the Role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Technician - Joiner to join our Cornwall team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8am – 7pm Monday – Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate would ideally live within Truro or surrounding areas. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.
