Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is seeking a skilled Multi Skilled Joiner to cover Chesterfield, Alfreton, Harrogate, Leeds, Wakefield and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering responsive repairs and a range of joinery and multi-trade tasks within a social housing environment.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 3 trade qualification or equivalent, have a full UK driving licence, and be prepared for a rota-based on-call schedule with additional pay. DBS check is provided by Guinness.

Job description

About the role We are looking for a Multi Skilled Joiner to join our team covering the Chesterfield, Alfreton, Harrogate, Leeds, Wakefield and the surrounding area to deliver responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8am - 7pm Monday - Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live between the Chesterfield - Harrogate area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness. Essential requirements of the roleYou must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the, ability to carry

out various multi-trade tasks, such as basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation. Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service. Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information. Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills. Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines. Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

Essential Qualifications:NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
