RSK Raw part of the RSK Group has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Technician to join our team in Rotherham, UK.

RSK RAW offers multi-disciplinary environmental protection and risk reduction services to a wide range of industries and clients across the UK. We specialize in spill response, contamination investigation, and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Respond rapidly to environmental incidents in urban and rural settings.
2. Assess pollution risks proactively and apply techniques to contain and recover oils or other contaminants.
3. Inspect tanks and perform leakproof testing.
4. Support general groundworks under supervision of the Project Manager, Project Team Leader, or senior colleagues.
5. Support fieldwork such as environmental monitoring, sample collection and logging (soil, water, air), installation and maintenance of remediation systems, and supervising subcontractors.
6. Additional site responsibilities may include waste management, inspection and maintenance of oil storage areas, electrical transformer bunds, oil water separators, decontamination, drainage, utilities inspection, and equipment maintenance.

Other responsibilities include maintaining site notes, managing time effectively, and ensuring good communication and relations with clients and stakeholders. Occasional report writing and additional work may be required.

Additional Information:

• This role involves working in a 24/7 response service, so out-of-hours work is expected and compensated.
• Travel across England, Scotland, and Wales may be required, including overnight stays.
• Training in incident response and tank testing is provided, along with other development opportunities.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (essential).
• Excavator/dumper experience/certification (desirable).
• Basic project management experience (desirable).
• BSc in a relevant environmental field (desirable).
