Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Multi Skilled Security Officer for Sevington Inland Border Facility in Sevington, Ashford, Kent. This role focuses on maintaining a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service to colleagues, contractors and visitors.

You will work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern from 06:00 to 18:00, supporting incident response and daily site operations with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• A responsible and dependable approach with high standards of professionalism.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
• The ability to remain calm and respond effectively under pressure.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Basic IT skills and confidence using security systems, radios and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, friendly and helpful security presence throughout your shift.
• Support clients, contractors and visitors, ensuring site procedures and security requirements are followed.
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies, keeping relevant people informed.
• Liaise with statutory authorities when required, providing clear and accurate information to support incident handling.
• Monitor site radio communications and follow the correct procedures.
• Maintain accurate site records, including incident reports, reference materials and the site occurrence book.
• Build positive working relationships with our on-site client and the wider team.
