Job summary

DS Smith is recruiting a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer for our Fordham site. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, focusing on safety and reliability, and respond to unplanned breakdowns to keep production running.

You'll work 12-hour shifts (4 on 4 off, days and nights) with a focus on continuous improvement, risk assessments, safe systems of work, and collaboration with management and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or BTEC in electrical maintenance is required.
• Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Fault find and resolve technical/process issues efficiently.
• Complete maintenance activities on time and with quality.
• Provide technical support for capital projects and improvements.
• Communicate across departments using escalation procedures.
• Follow company purchasing and store procedures.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; be a proactive team member.
• Develop technical skills and knowledge for self and team.
