Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer with an electrical bias to deliver maintenance across a large Heathrow estate. You will work on a 4 on 4 off rotation (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) within a 24/7 shift team to keep critical buildings safe and operational.

You will handle electrical and mechanical maintenance, identify faults, support power distribution, lighting, standby generators, and fire alarm/PA systems; relevant qualifications and ability to pass security checks required.

Qualifications

• Undertake planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across a wide range of building services.
• Work as part of a balanced shift team providing 24‑hour cover for the Heathrow estate.
• Identify plant defects, warning indicators and system faults, taking appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain and support building services systems including power distribution, motor controls, lighting, standby generators, controls systems, inverters and fire alarm/PA systems.
• Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• City & Guilds craft certificate / ONC or equivalent.
• Recognised craft apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)..
• Ability to obtain and pass full intrusive security checks (mandatory).
• C&G Level 3 in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
