Job summary

Britvic in Rugby is hiring a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer (Engineering Technician) to join our engineering team. The role reports to the Engineering Shift Manager and focuses on maximizing equipment reliability through proactive maintenance and rapid breakdown repair.

You will be involved in PLC/industrial equipment maintenance, adherence to HSE/quality standards, and continuous improvement using Lean methods. This is a 42-hour week on a 4-on, 4-off day/night shift pattern at our Rugby site.

Qualifications

• Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
• Strong multi-skilled background with an electrical bias and ability to diagnose machine breakdowns.
• Experience delivering maintenance in manufacturing (Food/Beverage/FMCG).

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and perform effective repairs to maximize equipment reliability.
• Follow Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures including LOTO and Permit to Work.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles (TPM, RCA, PDCA, 5S).
• Collaborate with Operations to implement engineering solutions that drive performance.
• Maintain records in SAP PM for maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
• Support capital projects with Central Engineering to meet cost, quality and time targets.
