Job summary

Home Group is seeking an experienced Roofer to join our repairs and maintenance team. You will perform high-quality roof repairs across Colchester, Southend and Chelmsford, delivering right-first-time workmanship in domestic properties.

Role requires NVQ Level 2 roofing or equivalent, proficiency in pitched and flat roofs, and a flexible, proactive approach. A company van is provided, with on-call duties and DBS health checks funded.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in roofing.
• Experienced roofer within domestic housing, including pitched and flat roofs.
• Experience and knowledge of diagnosing and identifying roofing works required.
• Experience in other building trade areas (multi skilled) plus GRP and 3 layer torch on felt.
• A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.
• A full current manual driving licence, will be provided with a company van for business use and commuting.

Responsibilities

• As multi skilled Roofer, all allocated jobs are completed right first time, with a whole job repair approach.
• Roofing works across repairs, maintenance and property refurbishments including pitched and flat roofs.
• Delivering high-quality and compliant work.
• Multi skilling to improve first time fixes and prevent multiple visits to customers' homes.
• All jobs are scheduled so you know exactly where you need to be.
• Working Monday to Friday, as well as our out of hours service on a rota basis with an additional generous on call payment.
• Working in our properties across Colchester, Southend and Chelmsford
• Must be able to use technology
• You'll need a Basic DBS and health check done which we pay for.
