Job summary

James Hall & Co. Ltd. is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Retail Assistant for SPAR Threshfield. A 24-hour per week role in Skipton, combining shop-floor duties with food-to-go tasks to deliver an excellent customer experience.

You will serve customers, prepare hot food, support deli counters, and help keep shelves stocked and clean while adhering to safety standards. Retail or cooking experience is useful but not essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service across the store, including till operation.
• Preparing and cooking hot food products in line with company standards.
• Serving customers at hot food or deli counters in a friendly and professional way.
• Replenishing stock and maintaining availability across the shop floor.
• Keeping displays, counters, and food areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Supporting with deliveries, stock rotation, and reducing waste.
• Working as part of the wider store team to keep everything running smoothly.
