Job summary

James-Hall- is seeking a Multi-Skilled Retail Assistant to join our store in a part-time, permanent role. You will work on the shop floor and in our food-to-go areas, helping with till service, food preparation, and deli counter support.

This varied role involves stocking shelves, keeping food fresh and appealing, and delivering a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment. Overtime availability may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food preparation is beneficial but not essential.
• Willing to learn new skills and adapt to different areas of the store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service across the store, including till operation.
• Prepare and cook hot food products to company standards.
• Serve customers at hot food or deli counters in a friendly and professional way.
• Replenish stock and maintain availability across the shop floor.
• Keep displays, counters, and food areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Support with deliveries, stock rotation, and reducing waste.
• Work as part of the wider store team to keep everything running smoothly.
