Job summary

Portakabin Ltd in Sherburn-in-Elmet is seeking a Semi Skilled Operative to join our team at the Sherburn Hire Centre. You will contribute to refurbishment and fit-out of buildings, ensuring safety and quality across tasks and working with a collaborative team.

The role offers a permanent contract, with hours Monday to Thursday 7:45am–4:30pm and Friday 7:45am–3:30pm, and pay of £15.87 per hour plus overtime and potential merit uplift after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, RAMS and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment and materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, organised working environment.
• Follow technical instructions, RAMS and company procedures to work safely and to quality.
• Carry out refurbishment and fit-out activities per technical specifications and SOPs.
• Support colleagues by assisting across the team and escalates issues when needed.
• Contribute to team delivery through collaboration.
