Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking a Plumber for Camden Council housing stock. The role covers reactive, planned and void repairs, with a focus on Right First Time and resident service.

You will diagnose faults, carry out plumbing repairs, and may perform multi-trade tasks. NVQ Level 2/3 and a valid UK driving licence are essential; travel between properties is required; 36 hours per week and £20.96 per hour PAYE.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Plumber / Multi-Skilled Tradesperson.
• Experience within housing repairs, social housing, local authority or property maintenance.
• Demonstrable multi-trade skills, particularly plumbing with carpentry, tiling or making-good abilities.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and relevant plumbing regulations.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel between Camden housing stock and Council properties.

Responsibilities

• Attend residents’ homes to complete reactive, planned and void repairs.
• Diagnose plumbing faults and identify cost-effective solutions.
• Carry out repairs to pipework, drainage, sanitaryware and plumbing systems.
• Complete associated multi-trade works, including carpentry, tiling and making good.
• Liaise professionally with residents, explaining works and keeping them informed.
• Use mobile systems to update job records and manage materials.
• Ensure work complies with health & safety and regulations.
• Work independently while supporting the repairs team.
