Job summary

Camden Council is seeking a qualified plumber to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across council buildings, including schools, community centres and workplaces in London.

The role covers plumbing repairs, heating and water systems maintenance, and supervision of an apprentice. Requires Level 3 qualification, Full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS; work across multiple sites in the city.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services qualification.
• Strong commercial plumbing/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Planned and reactive maintenance experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Good health & safety and mobile reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, fault finding and maintenance.
• Maintain heating, hot and cold-water and mechanical systems.
• Work on pumps, valves, calorifiers, booster sets and expansion vessels.
• Complete TMV and water hygiene tasks where qualified.
• Identify faults and recommend practical repairs.
• Record work completed using the mobile maintenance system.
• Work safely in occupied buildings.
• Support and mentor a plumbing apprentice.
