Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative (Plumber) to maintain and improve estate services across its facilities. You will service, test and repair plumbing and related systems, plan works, and liaise with contractors within secure environments to ensure safety and minimal disruption to patients.

The role demands experience in plumbing and heating trades, NHS experience, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or other approved training scheme, plus relevant experience.
• City & Guilds part II or minimum NVQ Level 2 or other recognised course.
• Ventilation, Refrigeration, Confined Spaces and Risk Assessment Training.
• Water safety Training & Heating system training.

Responsibilities

• Service, test, diagnose and repair faults in plumbing and related systems.
• Understand electrical, electronic, mechanical and plumbing installations.
• Plan work and prepare material schedules using manuals.
• Complete reactive and planned maintenance with minimal disruption to patients.
• Escort contractors and ensure compliance with safety policies.
