Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative (Plumber) to join the Estates Department. You will service, test, diagnose and repair faults in plumbing, mechanical, electrical and related systems across Trust facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.

You will plan work, prepare material lists from O&M manuals, and carry out reactive and planned maintenance. You will also escort contractors and ensure adherence to safety policies, with a focus on maintaining patient environments and

Qualifications

• Qualified plumber with relevant plumbing & heating experience.
• Experience maintaining estate infrastructure in healthcare environments preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a hospital setting and follow Trust policies.

Responsibilities

• Service, test, diagnose and repair faults in plumbing, mechanical and related systems.
• Plan work and prepare material lists using O&M manuals.
• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance with minimal disruption to patients.
• Escort contractors and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in surveys and acceptance testing of new equipment.
• Maintain essential patient equipment and environment to support patient care.
