Job Description:

So, what will I be doing?

You will work to ensure the delivery of daily KPIs and targets in your area, ensuring high levels of efficiency and food safety standards. Your role will include completing first-line reactive and proactive maintenance tasks, ensuring optimal utilization of assets and raw materials.

Your responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Health & Safety by working safely, role modeling safety behaviors, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions, and escalating issues when support is needed.
  • Actively participate in and govern the quality management system, ensuring controls and procedures are effectively completed to validate food safety and exceed customer expectations. Escalate any food safety breaches or quality issues, and ensure non-compliant products are identified, held, and issues are resolved appropriately.
  • Adhere to and promote good manufacturing practices, hygiene standards, PPE, and dress code. Maintain a 'Clean as You Go' approach, workplace organization, and visual management standards.
  • Operate and optimize equipment to meet production demands and ensure product quality.
  • Own performance and yield in your area, optimizing running conditions and participating in improvement activities to use resources effectively.
  • Manage changeover activities and material replenishment to optimize resources and raw material yields.
  • Analyze machine parameters to support decision-making and drive improvements.
  • Record downtime and raw material usage accurately and promptly.
  • Perform basic fault finding and equipment maintenance, supporting root cause analysis when escalating to support teams.
  • Ensure equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Support improvements to KPIs and suggest equipment or process enhancements with the Lead Operator or Line Manager.
  • Motivate the team with enthusiasm, take quick action, and encourage others to do the same.
