Job summary

Yeo Valley Group is seeking a Multi-skilled Machine Operator to join the Goods In / Goods Out Team at our Newton Abbot site. This is a 4 on/4 off days pattern (06:00-18:00) offering the chance to contribute to high-quality yogurts, desserts and ice cream sold across the UK.

You’ll operate diverse machinery, pack products, and maintain rigorous GMP and hygiene standards while completing paperwork accurately.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing setting (filling, packing, forming or CNC).
• Good numeracy and literacy for accurate paperwork and record-keeping.
• Able to work in a physically demanding role and in a 12-hour shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of machinery (filling, packing, forming or CNC).
• Pack products and ensure accurate documentation.
• Adhere to GMP and quality standards; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Take apart, clean and rebuild production equipment as required.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Any other duties as reasonably required.

We are on the lookout for a Multi-skilled Machine Operator to join our diverse, friendly and passionate Goods In / Goods Out Team at Yeo Valley Newton Abbot. This is our largest production site and offers the opportunity to play an important part in helping us to deliver our high-quality products to our customers across the UK. You will thrive in a fast-paced production environment, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and strong work ethic.

The Shifts follow a 4 on 4 off Days Pattern between 06:00-18:00.

This role provides an opportunity to learn new skills and further build a career in manufacturing.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Embracing Health & Safety and Quality requirements.
• Packing of well-known products.
• Operating a wide variety of machinery (filling, packing, forming or CNC machines);
• Demonstrating a commitment to delivery, leading by example; Completing paperwork accurately.
• Application of current GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices);
• Taking apart, cleaning and rebuilding production equipment.

Any other duties as reasonably required.
