Job summary

Bernicia Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative (Roofing) in Spennymoor to join our Property Maintenance and Construction team. The role involves supporting trade staff across domestic and commercial properties to a high standard and delivering excellent customer service.

You will need experience at height, a CSCS card, and the ability to work to construction drawings, with a focus on safety, teamwork and flexible attitude.

Multi Skilled Operative (Roofing)

Spennymoor.

Salary: £29,948 per annum.

Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Tuesday 18th August 2026.

We are looking to appoint a Multi Skilled Operative/Labourer with a Roofing discipline, to join Bernicia's Property Maintenance and Construction department.

About The Multi Skilled Operative/Labourer (Roofing) Role

This role will involve:

• assisting trade staff to undertaking all types of work associated with this position, to both domestic and commercial properties to a high standard but also for the delivery of excellent customer service.

Your Experience

• Experience of working at height.
• On-Site training, approximately 3 years
• CSCS card as appropriate to the role
• Experience of working within a commercial and domestic property environment
• Experience of working in a target driven environment
• Adapt to change, positively contribute and communicate with effectively
• To undertake multi-skilled trade competencies
• To understand risk assessments
• Ability to deliver work in line with construction drawings.
• A sound knowledge of building construction, components and building trades
