Job summary

Stateside Foods Limited is looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our Logistics Department on continental day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. You will be responsible for operating equipment, following ISO work instructions, and ensuring efficient asset use with no detriment to operations.

The role emphasizes building strong cross-shift relationships, driving employee engagement, and maintaining high hygiene and housekeeping standards while complying with safety practices.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and problem-solving ability are essential.
• Experience or familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to ensure efficient use of assets and adherence to safety standards.
• Follow ISO work instructions and our Performance Management Systems.
• Build relationships and engage employees across shifts to foster an Employer of Choice culture.
• Carry out checks and paperwork with accuracy and promptly report issues to the Team Leader.
• Set up the coding line at every changeover and monitor KPIs for stock picking.
• Perform 1st line maintenance of equipment in the designated area and keep areas clean.
• Complete MERC and other Logistics systems at end of each shift.

Job description

We have an opportunity within our Logistics Department for a Multi Skilled Operative.

The role will be working 07.00 - 19.00 continental days.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of equipment within the area of responsibility, ensuring the most effective return on assets with no detriment to the operation.

An overview of the role:

• Understand and adhere to our Performance Management Systems and demonstrate Stateside Food behaviours
• To carry out your daily duties as per ISO work instructions
• Building effective relationships with all Stateside food's employees
• Developing employee engagement across the shifts and creating an Employer of Choice culture
• Responsibility for identifying faults and continually improving manufacturing processes
• Responsibility for carrying out checks and paperwork with no errors and communicating problems promptly to the Team Leader, with additional designated CCP’s.
• Responsibility for setting up the coding line at every changeover
• Picking stock and following the appropriate KPI’s for this task
• MHE Operator, in house training will be given
• To perform any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the Logistics department
• Working safely at all times and communicating safety concerns promptly to the Team Leader
• Responsibility for 1st Line Maintenance of equipment in the designated area
• Carry out good hygiene and housekeeping, ensure a clean as you go policy, all warehouse areas are kept to a high standard
• Responsibility to ensure MERC and any other associated systems within Logistics is completed at the end of each shift

Ideally, candidates will have worked within a similar role, have good communication skills with the ability to problem solve.

An up-to-date FLT license would be preferred and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems would be advantageous.
