This contract provides a 24-hour emergency repair service. This post offers the opportunity to participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota, which can potentially boost earnings by approximately £10k per annum, based on one week out of a four-week rota. Participation is optional and not mandatory.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team in Eastbourne/Lewes. Working with 'home first' on a variety of residential works, including occupied, void properties, and communal areas, our team produces work to the highest standards and delivers outstanding customer service.

As a multi-skilled operative handling a broad range of property repairs, the role typically involves tasks from changing a lock to extensive kitchen and bathroom renovations.

Key Criteria:

• Previous experience in plumbing and tiling
• Ability to work at heights
• Maintenance and Repairs experience
• Quality assurance of the work carried out
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• UK full driving licence

All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your licence for more than 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
Candidates should be aware that all roles are subject to relevant DBS/security checks before employment begins.
