Job summary

Bellway is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join our Construction team. You will identify, rectify and close out defects in new homes, focusing on snagging and finishing works to high standards.

You will work with site management, subcontractors and Customer Care to ensure issues are resolved promptly, maintain records, and uphold health and safety rules. Familiarity with NHBC standards is desirable; Full UK driving licence and CSCS card preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience within residential housebuilding, construction finishing, or property maintenance.
• NHBC knowledge and understanding of housebuilding quality standards is desirable.
• First Aid Qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out snagging inspections of completed and near-complete homes.
• Identify defects, quality issues and incomplete works against company standards and NHBC requirements.
• Ensure plots are fully prepared and presented for customer demonstrations and legal completion.
• Work alongside site management teams, subcontractors and Customer Care teams to ensure all defects are rectified promptly.
• Complete customer care remedial works where required following occupation.
• Maintain accurate records of snagging items and completed works.
• Monitor the quality of subcontractor workmanship and report recurring issues to site management.
• Assist with health and safety inspections and ensure all works are completed in accordance with site rules and company procedures.
• Support the delivery of excellent customer satisfaction scores through high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and tidy condition.

Job description

Principal Accountabilities

• Decorating and paint touch-ups
• Minor plaster repairs
• Basic plumbing adjustments
• Basic maintenance and repair works

Work alongside site management teams, subcontractors and Customer Care teams to ensure all defects are rectified promptly. Complete customer care remedial works where required following occupation. Previous experience in a dedicated snagging, finishing foreman or customer care operative role is desirable. NHBC knowledge and understanding of housebuilding quality standards is desirable.

Qualifications and Training

• First Aid Qualification is desirable.

• Full UK driving licence.
