Job summary

Bellway Homes in the Manchester division seeks a Multi Skilled Operative to ensure new homes meet high quality standards prior to handover. You will identify defects, perform finishing works and support site teams to deliver a first-class customer experience.

The role requires multi-trade ability (joinery, decorating, plastering, basic plumbing) and a focus on attention to detail. CSCS card and a full UK driving licence are desirable; First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential housebuilding, finishing or property maintenance.
• Multi-trade capability across joinery, decorating, plastering and basic plumbing.
• NHBC quality expectations are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out snagging inspections on completed or near-complete homes.
• Identify defects and ensure works meet company standards and NHBC requirements.
• Perform remedial and finishing works including joinery, decorating, plastering and plumbing.
• Prepare plots for customer demonstrations and handover.
• Work with site teams and subcontractors to rectify defects promptly.
• Maintain records of snagging items and completed works.
• Support health and safety inspections and keep areas tidy.
