Job summary

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a multi-skilled Chargehand Technician to maintain, repair and calibrate advanced mechanical and electrical systems, plant and equipment, and to pass on knowledge to others. The role requires working across building and system services in line with standards and procedures.

The post involves shift rotations to cover sickness and annual leave to ensure 24-hour on-site presence.

Responsibilities

• Apply their skills to service, test, diagnose, repair and calibrate advanced mechanical & electrical systems, plant and equipment, deal with new situations as they arise and pass on knowledge to others.
• Undertake a multi-skilled role to carry out maintenance, repairs and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures.
• Work rotational shifts to cover sickness and annual leave of Chargehand Technicians, which ensures 24 hour on site cover.
